NLP

NLP stands for Neuro Linguistic Programming

Neuro The mind-body system and how it functions. This involves how we take in information through all the senses.
Linguistic refers to how we describe and analyse our reality and how we communicate it to others.
Programming Because we make up our own behaviours and strategies it is possible to re-program them.

Richard Bandler the co-creator of NLP refers to it as

"NLP is an attitude and a methodology that leaves behind a trail of techniques."

What this means that if you are willing to change the different techniques can be used to bring about rapid and lasting change.
NLP is not just used in therapy it can also be used in a business context e.g. sales and also in the many forms of coaching that are now available, e.g. life coaching, sports coaching, spiritual coaching.
NLP can be used on its own or in conjunction with other therapies offered by Wolfnud Hypnosis such as Hypnotherapy and EFT.

EFT

You may have seen this tapping style on morning tv or used by Paul Mckenna who I have trained with.

EFT which stands for Emotional Freedom Technique is a relatively new discovery that has provided thousands with relief from pain, diseases and emotional issues. EFT is a quick and easy to learn procedure that involves saying a setup statement or affirmation and gently tapping on various parts of the face and body while saying a reminder statement. It’s like a simple form of acupuncture but without the use of needles.

"The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system."

The above statement comes from Gary Craig who invented EFT based upon original work done by Roger Callahan called Thought Field Therapy. What EFT does is allow us to concentrate on a negative aspect and gently tap it out by using a sequence of tapping points.

EFT is also very effective in dealing with traumatic incidents as well as phobias and problems with anger and other emotional issues. EFT can often be used on physical problems where the underlying cause may be emotional such as headaches or back aches.

Note: Whilst EFT can achieve excellent results with many physical conditions the technique should not be seen as a substitute for appropriate medical care and should always be used in conjunction with medical consultation and intervention for such conditions.

EFT can also be combined with NLP and Hypnotherapy to produce outstanding results, this combination is particularly useful when dealing with the complex issues such as weight management where often the root cause of over eating is an emotional issue.
